Spiced Coffee


  • 1 cup hot water
  • 6 cups of milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  1. Dissolve all ingredients except the milk into water
  2. Add milk
  3. Heat in covered crockpot on low

Cream of Potato Soup

"
  • 3 cups diced potatoes
  • 2 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  1. Combine potatoes, celery, onion, water, seasonings, and bouillon cube in 2 quart casserole
  2. Cover
  3. Microwave on high 7-10 minutes or until vegetables are tender
  4. Stir after half of the cooking time
  5. Combine 1/4 cup milk and flour until smooth
  6. Stir flour mixture, remaining milk, and butter into potato mixture
  7. Microwave on high uncovered for 7-10 more minutes or until thickened stirring several times

Cinnamon Ring

  • 1/3 cup nuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits (10 biscuit size)
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  1. Sprinkle nuts over greased 8-9 inch pan
  2. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon
  3. Separate biscuits
  4. Dip them in melted butter and then into cinnamon mixture
  5. Place biscuits in pan overlapping slightly
  6. Tuck raisins in between biscuits
  7. Add any remaining mixture
  8. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-14 minutes
  9. Invert pan
  10. Serve warm

Teriyaki Chicken

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  1. Broil deboned chicken breasts approximately 4 minutes on each side or until done
  2. Mix cornstarch, water, sugar, and teriyaki sauce
  3. Microwave sauce on high one minute at a time stirring between

Oreo Cookie Dessert

  • <24 Oreos/li>
  • 3/4 cup of butter or margarine/li>
  • 1/2 gallon of softened vanilla ice cream/li>
  • 1 bar of Baker’s German Chocolate/li>
  • 2/3 cup of sugar/li>
  • 1/8 tsp salt/li>
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk/li>
  • 1 tsp vanilla/li>
  1. Crush Oreos
  2. Mix Oreos and 1/4 cup of butter/margarine
  3. Press into a 9x13 dish
  4. Freeze until hard
  5. Spread softened ice cream over crust
  6. Freeze until hardened
  7. Combine chocolate, 1/2 cup of butter/margarine, sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla in a sauce pan over medium heat
  8. Cook until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly
  9. Let chocolate mixture cool
  10. Pour over the top of ice cream
  11. Freeze until hard
  12. Keep frozen until ready to serve

Creamy Rice Pudding

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 package vanilla pudding (4 servings size, NOT instant)
  • 1 cup uncooked minute rice
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  1. Gradually stir egg and milk into pudding mix in a sauce pan
  2. Add rice and raisins
  3. Stir over medium heat
  4. Heat until mixture comes to a boil
  5. Pour into serving bowl
  6. Chill about one hour

Chili Rellenos Casserole

  • 1 cup half & half or evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 7 oz can of diced green chilis
  • 1 lb grated cheese (Jack and/or cheddar)
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  1. Beat half & half (or milk), eggs, and flour until smooth
  2. Grease 9x9 casserole pan
  3. Place half of the grated cheese on the bottom of pan
  4. Pour half of the chilis and then half of the milk mixture
  5. Repeat layers
  6. Pour tomato sauce on top
  7. Sprinkle with a little more grated cheese on top if desired
  8. Bake on 375 degrees for 1 hour
  9. Bake on 325 degrees for 1.5 hours
  10. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

Crust

  • 1 cube butter
  • 1 pint sour cream (save some for the top)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Mix crust ingredients together and press firmly into spring form pan
  2. Cream butter and sugar
  3. Add cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla
  4. Pour on top of crust
  5. Bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes
  6. Let cool
  7. Top with remaining sour cream
  8. Chill for several hours before serving

Beef Dip Sandwiches

  • 1 oven cooking bag
  • 3-4 lb rump roast
  • 1 package of onion soup
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Pour flour into bag and shake
  3. Place meat, soup mix, and water in bag
  4. Place in shallow baking dish and seal bag
  5. Bake for 90 minutes to 2 hours or until done

BBQ Meatballs

Meatballs

  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

Sauce

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  1. Mix all meatball ingredients together
  2. Shape in balls and place in baking dish
  3. Mix sauce ingredients together in sauce pan
  4. Bring to a boil
  5. Pour over meatballs
  6. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees (check earlier)

Baked Beans

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb bacon (cut up)
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 30 oz pork and beans
  • 15 oz kidney beans (drained)
  1. Cook ground beef, bacon, and chopped onions until done
  2. Add remaining ingredients
  3. Cook all day in crock pot (do not stir too often)

Chocolate Pudding Dessert

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tub Cool Whip
  • 1 small vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 small chocolate instant pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk
  1. Mix flour, butter and nuts together and pat in pan
  2. Bake on 325 degrees for 45 minutes
  3. Soften cream cheese in a bowl
  4. Blend in powdered sugar
  5. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip
  6. Spread mixture over crust
  7. Mix pudding powders together dry
  8. Add milk
  9. Mix and let set
  10. Spoon pudding on top of second layer
  11. Top with remaining Cool Whip

Spiced Coffee

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee crystals
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 6 cups milk
  1. In a crock pot, combine sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt and 1 cup of water.
  2. Stir to dissolve
  3. Stir in milk
  4. Cover and heat on low setting for 3-4 hours
